TAOIST WAY OF BECOMING MULTI-ORGASMIC
TAOIST WAY OF BECOMING MULTI-ORGASMIC
By Sarina Stone
In Taoist sexual practices we learn to have a different experience of our body, sex and orgasmic energy (Chi). We acknowledge that the body has different qualities of Chi and that these various energies may be used for endeavors such as improving health, fortifying the mind, and ultimately may be used for spiritual enlightenment. Orgasmic Chi is just one of many qualities of Chi. This Chi, when placed in various areas of the body, induce orgasmic reactions. Thus, a woman who has trained in Taoist Healing Love may not only reach orgasm multiple times, but in multiple ways.
When one views reproductive Chi as a valuable and strong Chi which should be respected and cultivated, they begin to view sex and sexuality much differently than those who do not connect with the spirit of this Chi.
In the book The Multi-Orgasmic Woman, Master Mantak Chia and Dr. Rachel Abrams address the issue of becoming Multi-Orgasmic as a woman. There are references to things like using the Inner Smile and MicroCosmic Orbit. You may refer to the book or go to the Prepare Your Body button on this site. You must know what your Chi, or PC muscle is as well.
Here, we have an excerpt from this book, which we hope will entice you to not only read the book, but also contact your local certified Universal Healing Tao instructor for proper coaching on how to experience not only multiple orgasms, but also experience different kinds of orgasm.
A number of sexual experts over the past several decades have taught women and men how to reach prolonged pleasure states that supersede the momentary bliss of singular orgasm. Various authors and researchers have described this state as continuous multiple or¬gasm, blended orgasm, or extended or expanded sexual orgasm.1 The heart of the Taoist sexual practice is to channel your sexual en¬ergy in order to reach an “expanded” state of full body pleasure and heightened spiritual consciousness. The possibilities to “expand” your experience of orgasm are as endless as your imagination. I’ll discuss a few of these practices here.
It is possible to extend your usual orgasmic time from around 8 sec¬onds to more than 60 seconds. This may not sound like a long time, but when you are in the intense throes of orgasm, a minute feels as if it goes on forever. In order to extend the time of your own orgasm, several techniques are helpful. Contracting your PC muscle during orgasm and moving the orgasmic energy into the Microcosmic Orbit will help to keep your arousal high. You can then extend the or¬gasmic time by continuing to contract your PC muscle, even when you would have normally ceased having an orgasm. You are con¬sciously continuing and encouraging the pulsations, and as you train your body, you will find that you can keep the pleasurable waves coming.
BECOMING A MULTI-ORGASMIC WOMAN
1. Set your intention not to hold back on your pleasure.
2. Awaken your sexual energy. Prepare yourself and your location with whatever erotic qualities support your desire, relax you, and turn you on—candles, oils, pillows, massage. Explore sexual fantasy or erotica if you enjoy it. Play sen¬sual music, dance, caress your body with oil, or partake of any other pleasures that kindle your sexual desire. Remember that the hotter your pot of desire is simmering, the easier it will be to boil over into multiple orgasms.
Using the Inner Smile, smile down to your heart and feel it soften and open. Smile down to your uterus and ovaries, to your clitoris, lips, and vagina, feeling them warm with chi. Massage your breasts and nipples and send their awak¬ened sexual energy down to your sexual organs through the Front Channel.
3. Caress your pleasure anatomy. Remember to stroke your entire body, neck and arms, breasts and legs. When you are aroused and ready, begin stimu¬lating your clitoris with your hands, vibrator, or your partner’s tongue. Use any strokes that worked for you in the Body Exploration from chapter 5. If your pleasure wanes, change the area that you are stimulating or the quality of your touch (smooth or vibrating, gentle or rough).
4. Use the teasing technique to prolong and intensify your pleasure. Build up your pleasure and then hold back your stroking for just a moment, then continue.
5. Contract your PC muscle to send your sexual energy into your spine as your arousal climbs. Pause, circulate the energy briefly, then continue.
6. Surrender to orgasm with clitoral stimulation. Pump your PC muscle to send the orgasmic energy into your spine as you orgasm and just after.
7. Circulate the energy through the Microcosmic Orbit and back down to your genitals, feeling them fill with warm, orgasmic energy.
8. Start slow, gentle stimulation of your clitoris again within 30 seconds after the first orgasm. Find a stroke you like and stick with it, using the teasing technique again.
9. Stimulate your clitoris and vagina together. Move to penetration and stimu¬late sensitive vaginal spots. Squeeze your PC muscle rhythmically to gather the energy in the vaginal area. Let your pleasure climb and surrender to the bliss of orgasm again.
10. After your orgasmic pleasure, hold both hands over your navel, smile down to your belly, and spiral and collect the energy in your abdomen. The other essential ingredient is the use of your breath. As you begin to orgasm, slowly breathe out, and if you are at all able, make noise. The Taoists believe that the throat and the vagina are connected, which is perhaps why it is easier to extend your orgasm if you are expressing your pleasure through your voice. As long as you can extend your exhalation and continue to make sound and con¬tract your PC muscle, you can extend your orgasm.2 It is a great in¬centive to practicing meditative breath control! Ultimately, as your control of your sexual energy matures, you will be able to extend your orgasm through one long out-breath, a quick intake of breath, and then another one or two breaths. Your throat is open to sound and your genitals are open to pleasure, which allows the orgasmic wave to continue to flow through you. So soundproof your room if you need to, use the power of your sex muscle, and ride your pul¬sations into extended orgasm.
Other sexual experts consider expanded or extended sexual orgasm to be a state of heightened sexual energy, connection, and even a spir¬itual state of expansion. In this state, one experiences extraordinary pleasure, total relaxation, and increased awareness. People some¬times reach a state of expanded orgasm and wonder, “How did I get here?” I’m going to discuss several methods to reach an expanded or¬gasmic state so that you can travel the path there whenever you like.
Taoist Expanded Orgasm
It is possible to reach a similar state of expanded orgasm using Taoist sexual techniques, whether you are alone or with a partner. Using the Orgasmic Upward Draw and spreading your orgasmic energy through the Microcosmic Orbit and your whole body leads to a sim¬ilar state of deep relaxation, surrender, and well-being. You can com¬bine the Taoist practice with any of the techniques that I’ve discussed to intensify and deepen your pleasure. The Jade Egg exer¬cises in chapter 8 are extremely helpful in awakening vaginal plea¬sure spots and paving the way for deep pelvic orgasm. They will help you develop conscious control over your sexual energy in your vagina and allow you to spread the sexual energy of deep pelvic or¬gasm throughout your body.
The Brauers recorded electrical brain patterns of people in a state of extended sexual orgasm, which show the same activity that’s pre¬sent in states of deep meditation. Use of the Microcosmic Orbit to circulate and amplify one’s sexual energy has had very similar re¬sults. In 1996 at the Institute for Applied Biocybernetics Feedback Research, the brain activity of Mantak Chia was evaluated during states of Taoist meditation, including the Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit, and the Orgasmic Upward Draw. The levels of brain poten¬tials, or electrical currents, that are correlated to clarity, health, and concentration rose higher in Mantak Chia during these meditations than in any other human measured at the Viennese center. And, un¬like other persons measured who used mantras or chanting, Mantak Chia’s high levels of these brain potentials continued to rise for 20 minutes after he finished his meditation, and remained high for the next 15 hours! All of the sensors indicated that although his energy continued to rise throughout his body, his muscles remained relaxed and his heartbeat calm. (This study was conducted on October 25, 1996, at the Institute fur Angewandte Biokypernetik und Feedbackforschung (Institute for Applied Biocybernetics Feedback Research) in Vienna, Austria. Ul-tralente (ULP) brain potentials in the left and right brains were measured using a PCE-Scanner and other vital bodily functions were monitored (data unpublished).
This suggests that simple Taoist meditative and sexual practices are capable of accessing a state of expanded consciousness and plea¬sure that truly allows us to access what is most precious in our human potential. It is important to note that Master Chia achieves this state of profound pleasure and relaxation by opening his heart and feeling profound love through the Inner Smile and then continuing to remain open, calm, and peaceful in his heart center while circulating his or¬gasmic energy. If you wish to feel the high energetic state of expanded orgasm, begin with the Inner Smile and remember throughout love-making to continue to move the sexual and orgasmic energy into your heart center, keeping it warm and open, and focusing your attention on love for yourself and/or for your partner. In Taoist wisdom, the heart is not just the love center, but the center of joy and spirit as well. It is the combined power of desire and spirit, passion and com¬passion, that opens us to our greatest potential. Many people have described feeling closest to God, Goddess, their higher power, the universe, or the Tao (however you name the universal power that is greater than yourself), while making love with a beloved partner. When we open our hearts and surrender to our passions, we are ca¬pable not just of orgasm within our bodies, but of fusing with the pulsations of joy and life throughout the universe.
JADE EGGS EXERCISE:
Universal Healing Tao offers instruction far more in depth than these pages offer. We highly recommend going to www.universal-tao.com and looking for a Certified Instructor to help you and support you through this process. When you are ready, you may also come to Tao Garden and take the Basic Retreat and Female Retreat or Multi-Orgasmic Retreat (July 5-11,09) to learn and study the Jade Egg Practice. Be sure to read the book Healing Love Through the Tao – Cultivating Female Sexual Energy by Mantak Chia for more detailed information.
The use of a stone or Jade Egg to strengthen the vagina is a practice that evolved in ancient China. As time went on, the secret of this practice remained in the Royal Palace and was taught only to the queen and concubines. Many who mastered the technique experienced very good health, remaining young and bountiful, with sexual organs in old age as tight and resilient as those of a young, unmarried lady. Some believe that the queen and concubines practiced the technique in order to please the king while making love. Originally, however the Egg Exercise and Vaginal Weight Lifting were implemented for improving health, both physically and spiritually, since these exercises provide more power to the Chi (Pubo-coccygeus or PC muscle) Muscle to lift the sexual energy inward and upward where it will be transformed into higher spiritual energy.
The egg is a marvelous way to strengthen and control the Chi Muscle. It is easier to practice control of this muscle with an egg in the vagina since, as the egg moves, you can feel the direction in which the Chi Muscle moves more distinctly. Controlling this voluntary muscle means control of the many involuntary muscles in this area as well. Also, as you master the use of this muscle of the vagina and perineum, you simultaneously tone up the lower abdomen. Thus, your performance sexual performance greatly improves, and the flow of sexual hormones increases.
Vaginal Weight Lifting is a very powerful practice to strengthen, in addition to the Chi Muscle, the urogenital and pelvic diaphragms. The strength of these two diaphragms is very important since these diaphragms serve as floors to the sexual organs and all vital organs.
When the Chi Muscle and diaphragms are loose, Chi pressure will leak out from the organs as they stack upon each other, dropping all their weight to rest upon the perineum. When strong, the muscle and the diaphragm function as seals, preventing leakage of life-force and sexual energies.
1. Selection of your Egg
Gem and mineral shops generally have a large selection of sizes and materials as well as prices. We researched and tested several different materials and found a volcanic rock called obsidian carved into egg shapes which contained the properties that we are looking for: embracing the Yang power of the volcano, but originating from the Yin power of the center of the Earth. We also follow the tradition of jade, and offer this to you. The characteristics of these stones attract and concentrate the Yin essence of a woman. Further details, as well as the eggs themselves, can be obtained from the Universal Healing Tao System.
When you look at the eggs you will have to decide what size looks like it might feel comfortable in your vagina. The eggs range in size from that of a quail egg to jumbo supermarket eggs. Most women choose a medium-sized one, that is, an egg approximately one inch in diameter made of either stone or wood. Wooden eggs can be easily drilled for the attachment of weights, and are therefore suited for the Vaginal Weight Lifting practice. We prefer to use stone eggs, such as obsidian or jade, for the internal sucking exercise because of their smooth, non-porous nature. The smaller the egg, the more work your muscles will have to do because they will have to contract more strongly to cause any movement of the egg. Select an egg with a smooth surface.
2. Care for the Egg
Proper attention and care to one’s feminine hygiene is an absolute necessity prior to beginning this practice. Cleanliness of the vaginal canal and the eggs are equally important. Wooden eggs should be boiled or cleaned every one to two weeks with a diluted vinegar solution (one tablespoon per quart of water) and allowed to dry for at least one hour; since the wooden egg easily absorbs vaginal fluid and can be a culture for germs if permitted to remain wet. A stone egg should be boiled by bringing it to the boiling point, and then allowing it to cool down. Boiling the stone egg is necessary prior to its first use. After that, simply wash it with water after each time you use it.
A word of caution about using soap or detergent: some people are allergic to certain chemicals that are found in soap and detergent, especially when inserted into the channel where the membranes are very sensitive. Also, many women are unknowingly allergic to alcohol (isopropyl or rubbing type), therefore its use should be avoided for cleansing purposes.
3. Caution in Practicing the Egg Exercises
a. Do not use the egg if you have a sexually transmitted disease or infection.
b. You must be fully aroused before inserting the egg. If you produce very little fluid naturally,
use a lubricant.
c. Married women should use a smaller egg.
d. Do not practice lying down.
e. If a problem arises and the egg becomes stuck, do not panic. Lie down and relax and laugh.
The egg will come out.
f. Do not use the egg during menstruation.
g. Do not use the egg when pregnant.
4. Using the Egg
First, be sure to use a natural dental floss or other thin but strong thread to inset through the holes of your egg and create a firm string which hangs down at least 12 inches. This string will be used to remove the egg if it goes very high in the vaginal canal and you do not have the strength to push it out. If you thread the two ends in to one hole, you may pull the ends through the loop and avoid tying a knot.
A. Beginning the Exercise
The first time you use the egg, you will probably want to, and should, exercise all precaution until you become accustomed to it. Each time before practicing the egg exercise, you must warm yourself by massaging the breasts, making sure the vagina is expanded and some lubricating fluid is being emitted. This is very important and is taught in the Breast Massage area of this website.
Breast massage will help bring gentle arousal energy and thus produce vaginal lubricant so the egg may easily slip inside the vagina. If you do not produce lubricant, you may use a lubricating jelly: any jelly or cream that is not petroleum based, any natural lubricating oil, such as a raw cooking oil, that you know is safe, or any lubricant that you have used that you do not have a chemical reaction to.
Always insert the wider end of the egg first. Once inserted, assume the standard Horse Stance posture (feet shoulders’ width apart and firmly grounded: ankles and knees bent: groin folded: spine and neck in alignment). Elevate your arms in front of you to a 45-degree angle with your palms facing upward. Assume a clenched fist position. It is from this basic rooting stance that each of the Egg Exercises is performed.
(a) Feet shoulder’s width apart and firmly grounded.
(b) Side View
The cervix represents the back limit of the vagina. Squeezing the muscles the way you would to have a bowel movement will expel the egg. In the beginning make sure not to practice on a cement floor so that if the egg drops out, it will not break. You can also place a towel under your feet.
B. Three Sections of the Vaginal Canal
To gain further control through the Egg Exercise, we divide the vaginal canal into three sections.
(1) The external vaginal orifice and front of the vaginal canal
The first section includes the muscles of the external vaginal orifice and the front part of the vaginal canal. When the egg is inserted, you will contract the uterus, closing the orifice tightly so that the egg cannot drop out.
(2) The anterior of the cervix
The second section to be contracted consists of the muscles of the vaginal canal immediately in front of the cervix.
(3) The middle of the vaginal canal.
The third section encompasses the muscles of the middle of the vaginal canal. These are the muscles that will move the egg up and down, left and right, and tilt it in different directions. (Fig. 7.3) You will practice moving and using these muscles until you master their movement as easily as using your hand. As you play with the direction you will learn to differentiate each movement of these muscles. If you have a male partner he will soon notice the results of this practice. Practice for a few minutes at a time, as often as you like. Insert the egg before practicing Tai Chi, Iron Shirt, or any of the other physical practices. Gradually increase the length of time you retain it. Just remember that it is there, since laughing, sneezing, or coughing can sometimes cause the egg to blast out of the vagina quite unexpectedly.
C. Summary of Egg Exercises Step-By-Step
1. Breast massage
Massage your breasts until you feel gentle arousal energy and lubrication in the vagina. Relax and feel the connection between the breasts and the uterus.
2. Insert the Egg
When you feel you are ready, insert the egg into the vagina, large end first.
2. Horse Stance Alignment
Align your body in the basic Horse Stance described earlier.
3. Contract the First Section
Isolate and contract the muscle groups responsible for closing the external vaginal orifice tightly. This will help to keep the egg in the vaginal canal.
4. Contract the Second Section
Inhale and contract the vaginal canal muscles immediately in front of the cervix so that you are now contracting two sections at the same time. Keep both points closed. There is no need to use hard muscle contractions.
5. Squeeze the Third Section
Slightly squeeze the egg from the middle of the vaginal canal until you feel that you have a good grip on it. Inhale and squeeze again, gradually increasing the squeeze, and then inhale more and squeeze harder (Fig. 7.5) Once you feel you have a good grip on the egg, slowly move it up and down. Start with a slow motion, gradually increasing to a fast motion. When you are out of breath, exhale and rest. The resting period is very important. It is at this time that you will feel Chi build up in this area. Try to master each movement before continuing to the next step.
6. Collect the sexual energy, spiral, and smile
When you finish, stand for a moment and feel the energy in ovaries and uterus. Use your mind to spiral the energy in these places. Smile.
7. Image the beautiful sexual energy moving in the MicroCosmic Orbit
See the Chi in ovaries and uterus like clean sparkling glitter. Use your mind to gently move this Chi from the organs to the perineum. Slightly squeeze anus perineum, and sexual organs so this wonderful Chi does not escape.
Next, move the Chi into the MicroCosmic Orbit and circulate at least 8 to 10 times.
8. Collect the Chi in the Tan Tien and rest.
Once you have completed circulating your energy in the MicroCosmic Orbit, rest it in your Tan Tien. This is located just below the navel and inside the body about one inch. Your Tan Tien is a safe place to store your energy. Smile gently to this Chi and image a pearl growing in your abdomen.
Now, recline or lie down, and rest. Calm your mind and allow the “practice” to effect your entire body. The Chi will flow where it is needed and will rejuvenate, detoxify, and support you throughout the day!
D. Vaginal Weight Lifting
The only difference between the Egg Exercise and Vaginal Weight Lifting procedure is the addition of a weight to the specially drilled egg. Or, you may easily hold the string, which hangs from the egg, and pull down while simultaneously drawing up with the vaginal muscles.
Usually an egg is chosen of approximately a one-inch diameter with holes drilled in it through which a string can be threaded for attachment to a weight. Use a sturdy string that can sustain at least ten to twenty pounds of weight, or use three strands of string. Begin with a one-half pound weight. You can buy a half-pound plate that has a hole through which the string can be tied, or use a small cotton or plastic bag into which a weight can be placed and the bag easily attached to the egg’s string and hung.
Suspending weights from the egg is a most effective way to increase the strength of the pelvic and urogenital diaphragms and the vaginal muscles. This is also a tremendous exercise for the cervix, the ovaries, and the organs and glands. With the increase in weight, the vagina alone does not have enough strength to lift the weight, making it necessary for all the internal organs and glands to join in contributing to the strength. The heavier the weight the more counter pressure must be exerted by the vagina, the cervix, the ovaries, the diaphragm, the organs and glands. This extended effort will result in increased Chi pressure and hormone production. Make sure you can handle the weight well before adding more to it.
The exact sequence of steps is then followed as described in the Egg Exercise above. This time, however, do not move the egg up and down. Hold it by tightening and squeezing the external and middle sections of the vaginal canal around the egg and pulling the egg up. Do not release it. This exercise is to be performed one time only, two to three times per week, with the weight gradually increasing in one-half pound increments, and not exceeding ten pounds.
E. Massage yourself.
Massage the Hui-Yin point (the perineum). Massage the mons and the coccyx. This massaging after each exercise is very important. It will help you clear the remaining energy so that the body can absorb it easily.
F. Channel the energy in the Microcosmic Orbit.
Gently tap the lower abdomen with your palm to remove the excess energy from the ovaries, vagina and clitoris. Use your mind and see bright, glittering Chi in the ovaries and uterus. Sit down quietly and channel the excess energy down to the perineum and hold it for a moment. Slightly squeeze anus, perineum, and sexual organs so the Chi does not leak out. Then, gently circulate this beautiful Chi in the Microcosmic Orbit, so that all your organs will benefit. Be sure to circulate at least 6 or 8 times and know that each time the Chi makes a full orbit, it becomes cleaner, lighter and easier to use.
